Willie the Worm.

Willy the Worm (Gone)

Field review by the editors.

Pelland Junction, Minnesota

Not far from the Canadian Border and International Falls, at the junction of a couple of two-lane roads, hangs "Willie the Worm." Willie is a 6-foot long wood carving that acts as mascot for the adjacent "Y" bar. He is one of the more unusual fishing totems you can find up here in lake country.

Willie sports a sly expression on an odd, semi-human face. There are a couple of other photo ops spread around the parking lot, but this is the one to stop for.
