		<description>Actually, neither side did.  Neither side lost any territory, with the exception  of Carleton Island, now part of New York.  The United States did fail in its attempt to invade Canada (as part of a plan to stop Great Britain&#039;s naval blockade of American ships).  But, the United States did win the Battle of New Orleans, lest we forget.  :-)</description>
