 Quirky Tourist Attractions in or near NebraskaWhile in Nebraska, you might enjoy a visit to: Part of a failed motel and campground; who wouldn't want to sleep in a wood teepee? Marks the eastern terminus of the Union Pacific Railroad. The monument's dedication, April 28, 1939, coincided with Omaha's premiere showing of the film, "Union Pacific." Recently refurbished. It used to be a gas station; now its wheels are missing but it still looks like a giant covered wagon. A classic collection of wax Bible scenes, other art and ephemera from the Judeo-Christian world are part of this museum. |
