The Walleye Inn Motel is located on the west edge of town, right on main highway 11 that runs through town. 500 Miles of groomed snowmobile and ATV trail and a paved walking track are nearby, varied trail maps area available in the lobby. 18-hole Golf Course, Par 72 is only 8.5 miles away. There are also shopping, restaurants and a movie theater nearby. Lake of the Woods, 65,000 miles of shoreline, 14,582 islands and 55 miles wide boast the finest walleye, northern pike, sauger, muskier and sturgeon fishing in the world. There are many other species in the lake. The 70 mile long Rainy River feeds into Lake of the Woods from the east. The river offers the best open water walleye fishing in the state and great spring and fall fishing. Many boat landings are located in Baudette and on the Rainy River. Baudette offers a 24-hour Customs-Border crossing into Morson, Sioux narrows, Kenora and many areas in Ontario, Canada. Spectacular shows of the Northern Lights can be observed up to 2-4 times a year on the US-Canadian border. In the area there area many parks for recreation and a museum for your enjoyment.
