It's an attraction, not a real factory -- but it does display the World's Largest Crayon. The Olympic champion buried in Jim Thorpe never lived there or even visited, but the town thought it was a good PR gimmick. They were right! Every so often Thorpe's descendants attempt to reclaim him to take back to Oklahoma. Not only a historic gallows, but hundreds of bizarre artifacts -- such as a vampire-killing kit -- exhibited in a castle made of concrete. A tiny monument marks the spot in July, 1921 where President Harding interrupted his golf game to sign the papers that officially ended the First World War. |
