The Baits Motel, located 1 and a half miles north of downtown Searsport, is your ideal base for exploring attractions in Searsport, Bar Harbor, Belfast, Camden, and the islands. The motel is also located just a few miles south of the recently completed Penobscot Narrows Bridge, one of only three bridges in the world that includes an observation tower. With 14 rooms, each one newly renovated, a location that is convenient to the many attractions of Mid-coast Maine, and a staff dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as possible, the Baits Motel is your ideal home away from home. A family-run motel, Baits offers the traveler a choice of accommodations in either our deluxe rooms or our standard rooms. Deluxe rooms feature luxury linens, down pillows, and free wireless internet connectivity. Both deluxe and standard rooms include cable television, free local calls, and air conditioning. You have a choice of a king size bed or two full beds with deluxe rooms. All standard rooms come with a single full bed. The Baits Motel also has two deluxe suites available- one with a full bed and a pull-out queen bed, and another with 2 full beds and a pull-out full bed. All of our rooms are non-smoking rooms. Well-behaved pets are permitted in any of our standard rooms, for a fee of $20/pet/night of the stay.

Right next door to Anglers Restaurant. -- Directions -- Take I-95 S toward Bangor. Take exit 182A to merge onto I-395 E toward ME-15 and Bangor-Brewer and ME-9 and US-1A. Take exit 2 to merge onto US-202 toward Hampden. Turn left at ME-9 and US-202 and Western Ave. Continue to follow ME-9 and Western Ave. Turn right at Main Rd N and US-1. Turn left at US-1. Destination will be on the right.
