An additional 600 acres of terrain are reserved exclusive for Grand Targhee Snowcat Adventures. Other winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snow tubing. In summer, Grand Targhee Resort operates a scenic chairlift with spectacular views of Grand Teton National park, and the best mountain bike and hiking trails in the region. A kaleidoscope of wildflowers blankets the mountain in July and August. Three mountainside lodges provide ski-in/ski-out convenience to the slopes at Grand Targhee Resort in the winter, and are walking distance from all of the Summer activities the resort has to offer. Each of the three lodges are walking distance from the outdoor heated pool and hot tub at The Spa at Grand Targhee. Grand Targhee Resort is an idyllic setting for group gatherings or business conferences of any size. Not only is the scenery inspiring and the air clear, our secluded alpine resort offers the optimum private setting to step away from the stresses of everyday life. Four separate meeting rooms of varying capacity and our mountainside conference tent combine for over 9,000 sq. ft of conference space, offering flexibility for larger group functions. Our full-time conference planners can help arrange everything- accommodations, meals, activities, meeting rooms, theme parties, events and off-site golf and fishing outings, to name a few. Quirky Tourist Attractions in or near WyomingWhile in Wyoming, you might enjoy a visit to: Jackson, Wyoming: Antler Arches of JacksonTourists love to stroll through the four antler arches in the town square. A fixture since the early 1960s, new antler arches are swapped in occasionally; at least one such retired, tired arch sits near the town limits. Jackson, Wyoming: Teton Mystery Spot - ClosedA gravitational anomaly, closed for now, though the sign is still visible. Rexburg, Idaho: Teton Flood MuseumDisplays a model and mud-caked items salvaged after the Teton Dam burst in 1976, and a nine-foot wall of water turned Rexburg into Mudville. Rigby, Idaho: Birthplace of TelevisionRigby was the boyhood home of Philo Farnsworth, who invented TV. His mementoes are on display in the local historical museum. © roadsideamerica.com, Doug Kirby, Ken Smith, Mike Wilkins.
