From I-95 S, take I-495 S, I-495 S becomes I-95 S. Merge onto DE-896 S via Exit 1A toward Middletown. Stay straight to DE-71/US-301 crossing into Maryland. Take Exit 42, Hotel will be on your right.

A plaque marks the patch of grass where Washington's politicians maimed and killed each other. Dueling was illegal in DC, so the combatants found a spot just over the border in Maryland. A Vietnam-era Navy relic that's hard to miss along Highway 1, painted gold and drawing the eye to the owner's seafood restaurant.
