The Border Patrol Museum has been in operation since 1985, tracing "the rich heritage of the patrol from the days of the Wild West to today's sophisticated law-enforcement technology." It's close to Mexico, in El Paso, but as the nation's only such museum it also tells the story of Canadian border patrols. Displays a collection of patrol vehicles -- tough terrain jeeps, helicopters -- along with photos, artifacts, confiscated weapons, and law enforcement ephemera. Or at least the skeleton of a dinosaur. |
