Delphos has also had visits from a UFO and a Wolf Girl, but you have to ask about them at the Delphos Museum. The Madonna of the Trail is an 18-ft. tall sculpture of a stony-faced pioneer Mom, in long skirt and bonnet, strutting westward with an infant in her arms. They were installed in 1928-29. The skin of one of MGM's many "Leo the Lion"s is in the McPherson town museum. Second only to The Smithsonian in space artifacts, and it's in a suburban neighborhood in Kansas.
