- The Grand 1894 Opera House
A year-round performing arts theatre. The theatre has been magnificently restored and is ranked among the nation's finest historical restorations. The Opera House is desingated as "the official Opera House of the State of Texas by the 73rd Legislature." No seat in the theatre is further than seventy feet from the stage, offering a spectacular view for a spectators.
- Moody Gardens Discovery Museum and IMAX Theatre
One of Galveston Islands newest museums. As visitors enter this state-of-the-art facility, they are greeted by a life-sized moving and talkng hologram that acquaints them with unusual surroundings. The interactiv eexhibits were developed in cooperation with NASA's Johnson Space Center. The IMAX RIDEFILM THEATER features a 180-degree wrap-around screen.
- Lone Star FLight Museum
Home to one of the finest collections of restored aircraft and aviation exhibits in the nation. Over 40 restored aircraft are displayed and most are in working condition. The collection includes WWII fighters, bombers, liason trainers, and executive planes.

- The Strand Historic District
The Strand District, in which The Tremont House is located, offers many unique shops to find that certain little item you've always been looking for. The Strand National Historical Landmark features one of the most extensive collections of Victorian style buildings in America, while the Visitor Center provides detailed historical information about Galveston Island.
- Mardi Gras Museum
Features Galveston's Mardi Gras festivities past and present. Costumes and historical memorabilia are on display as well as models of the Street Arches created for Mardi Gras. The museum also includes a Mardi Gras Gift Shop.
- Texas Seaport Museum / Tall Ship Elissa
These attractions examine Galveston's historic port and its influence on the community. The museum highlights the workings of the 19th century port and its role on natural history. THE TALL SHIP ELISSA shows visitors what life was like on the high seas with its "Life at Sea" and "Sound of Sea" exhibits.
- The Railroad Museum
Takes visitors back in time inside one of the nations most popular rail museums, the restored Galveston Union Depot. Life-sized "ghosts of travelers past" fill the waiting room where you can actually listen in on their conversations.
