Originally constructed of stone in 1924, the Chanticleer Inn is newly renovated with charming decor and antiques. The Main Inn has 3 guest rooms, a living room and breakfast area. There are 5 other stone Cottages with 1-4 rooms in each. Some of the rooms are adjoining. The swimming pool is close and is overlooked by 3 of the rooms. There are 17 rooms, 2 suites (one with fireplace), and 5 rooms with whirlpool tubs. Some cottages are saved for romance and others for families with children.

From the airport, exit property onto Highway 153 South. Follow Highway 153 to I-75. Take I-75 to I-24W. Take I-24W and follow as if going to downtown Chattanooga. Take Exit 178, Highway 27, at I-24W/Highway 27 split. Take second exit ramp off Exit 178, exit will be marked LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN. Travel through two intersections up to traffic light (Broad Street). Turn left on Broad Street and follow the Lookout Mountain/Rock City Signs. The Chanticleer Inn is located at the top of the mountain, situated on the corner at the first intersection.
