Historic Hotel Chester is the only full-service hotel in Starkville. Your stay includes a full, cooked-to-order breakfast each morning, served in the Library. Hours are 6:30am to 9:30am M - F and 7:00am to 10:00am Sat, Sun & Holidays. Individually listed on the Nation Register of Historic Places and located in the Old Main District of historic downtown, where shops, restaurants and entertainment spots are abundant & within 2 blocks walking distance. Reopened in August 2003 after extensive renovations structural and cosmetic renovations of the public areas and all 36 rooms and suites. The original name given the property in 1925 was Hotel Chester, and today its mission is the same...to provide a well-rounded line of hospitality products with culinary and service standards commensurate with current market conditions and expeactations.

From GTR, proceed on Hwy 82 W to the Downtown Starkville Exit (see the Historic Hotel Chester Hwy Exit Sign) Then left (Hwy 389/Jackson Street), and proceed South 1 3/4 miles. Historic Hotel Chester is on your right at 101 North Jackson.

Big Daddy's & Sushi on Main provides an open and comfortable floor plan, casual atmosphere to enjoy both Western and excellent Japanese cuisine. There's always sports on the LCDs, cool jazz or blues tunes in the air & friendly service. Open Mon ~ Fri for lunch & dinner, and Saturday from 4pm. There are banquet facilities for Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Reunions, Business Meetings and Meals, and Parites of every imaginable type.


There are banquet and meeting facilities that will accommodate up to 250 people for a stand up reception or 110 people for a sit down dinner.
