309 Jacuzzi Grand with one king bed-Huge is the best way of describing this quiet corner room under the mansard roof. Decorated in ivory, beige and rich browns, you will enjoy a king bed with a European canopy, a fainting couch and a wonderful marble coffee table. Can you guess the source of its legs. Guests love the antique icebox which serves as an armoire. Of course there is a fully modern private bath with step-in pan-headed shower. Then, in the vast jacuzzi room you will find an enormous jacuzzi for two and a built in twin bed, perfect for a relaxing massage. Guests ask for this particular room again and again. When Lon and Nancy were investigating purchase of the inn, which Fodors -TM- named the very best sunset view in New England. Your gaze will play across our golf course, over 66 protected acres and turkeys, and onto the fabled Green mountains of Vermont. 301 Large Traditional with one queen bed. One of our quietest rooms, this corner beauty under the mansard roof is both cozy and bright. Decorated in ivory, beige and burgundy floral, you will find the queen bed welcoming, and plenty of room to sit and gaze out one of the two cheery windows. The bath is small and modern with a step in shower. Like all our top floor rooms, there is no one above you, although if you like we can open the adjoining door to room 303 and make a lovely family suite. This room has a little quirk -- the floors are not entirely straight, courtesy of 125 years of settling. We call it New England charm. The bath has been modernized yet has the best of the original Sunset Hill House as well -- original corner sink and an antique claw footed tub/shower -great for long soaks up to your neck-. Directions
Due north on I-93 to exit 38 -Franconia-. Left at the bottom of the ramp and right at the blinking light onto Main street, Franconia. Quarter mile later, left across bridge onto route 117.2 miles to the very top of the hill. When there is no more up to go, left onto Sunset Hill Road. Say -oh my gosh, look at the views-. We are a third of a mile down on the left. Park right out front.
