From Anchorage, Take Route one to Glennallen. Take Route four to the Edgerton Highway to Chitina via Kenny Lake. Take the McCarthy Road the last sixty miles to the Kennicott River. At the end of the road, pick up the free phone for your ride to McCarthy. The last mile into town is by shuttle or walking only. From all other points in Alaska follow the same path from Glennallen.
