ORF-Norfolk International Airport-0 mi N From the North;I-64- Hampton- VA- take I-664 East through the Monitor Merrimac Tunnel-Travel 12.5 miles and take Exit 15-B- I-64 Chesapeake/Virginia Beach-Right onto exit for Rt. 168 South- Nags Head/Manteo-Outer Banks. The 168 Expressway will save you 20 minutes of driving time at a cost of USD2.00 for two-axle vehicles. After traveling 32 miles- you will approach an intersection on Rt. 168 South; Keep going straight- Rt. 168 turns into Rt. 158-Travel 56.5 miles crossing the Wright Memorial Bridge onto the Outer Banks. From the Outer Banks side of the bridge- go an additional 9.3 miles- or so. Travel on 158 until you see Milepost 13 and turn left to cut across to Hwy. 12- Virginia Dare Trail- The Beach Road- and turn right. The Nags Head Inn is approx. 1 mile on the left. From the South and West; From I-95 at Rocky Mount- NC- take US Rt. 64/264 East to Mann*s Harbor and cross the Virginia Dare Bridge to Roanoke Island- there is a nice Visitor Center/rest stop on the right at the end of the bridge. Continue straight- crossing the Washington Baum Bridge onto the Outer Banks. Route 64 becomes Hwy. 158- no need to turn- just keep on going on the road you are on. Travel on 158 until you see Milepost 15 and turn right to cut across to Hwy. 12- Virginia Dare Trail- The Beach Road- and turn left. The Nags Head Inn is aprox. 1 mile down on the right.
