The Paranormal Investigators of America research group has released a report detailing weird goings-on at the Mid-America Air Museum in Liberal, Kansas.
Two investigators from the Topeka-based group spent the night of September 30 - October 1 in the facility, which bills itself as "the fifth largest air museum in America." The investigators were invited by the museum staff after several visitors reported seeing a ghost.
In their report, the investigators write of seeing the ghost as well, which appeared to be that of Col. Tom Thomas, an avid aircraft collector who donated over 50 airplanes to the museum and who died in 1998.
The investigators also reported seeing floating orbs; hearing mysterious thumps from a plane, as well as disembodied voices and footsteps; and feeling a "very strong energy." They also observed the door to the gift shop rattling, and reported that an air compressor turned on by itself.
In the most dramatic incident, Kim Zerbe, a "sensitive," wrote of her encounter with Col. Tom: "He appeared to me prone, floating above me in his uniform, and said, 'I never liked my father,'" [11/18/2006]
