No Decision On Moving Queen Mary To Japan

The Long Beach (CA) City Council has voted to put off a decision on whether to allow the Queen Mary to be towed to Japan. The businessman who operates it as a tourist attraction wants to take it to Japan for three to five years in order to raise money to restore the ship to its original condition. The owner believes he can raise $20 to $40 million operating the ship in Tokyo as a hotel-casino.
