Motown Cafe Sets New Levels of Authenticity

Eatertainment concept, Motown Cafe, which features memorabilia from Hitsville, USA, one-upped its "futur-tour" competitors (like All-Star Cafe, Rainforest Cafe, and Country Star Cafe) by bringing a bit of real-life Detroit to its midtown Manhattan location.

Earlier this week, a trio of bandits broke in after closing time and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from a safe. The suspects got the drop on three workers and ordered the manager to open the safe. Then they tied up the employees and fled. [02/23/1997]
