New Orleans Voodoo Museum Celebrates Witchcraft Holiday
New Orleans is a great place to be for Halloween, especially if you enjoy voodoo, haunted houses and embrace the teachings of the Dark Lord. Start your trip down the road to damnation with Howl New Orleans, an outdoor cultural art celebration showcasing artists' and musicians' talents. Next, you're off to the infamous Sheriff Foti's Haunted House located in City Park, complete with a haunted hay ride and a spooky train ride.
Don't miss Anne Rice's Gathering of the Coven Ball. The popular native and novelist for the Vampire Chronicles hosts her annual gala! Visit a merman at Madam Laveau's Voodoo Shop on Bourbon Street, then head over to the Voodoo Museum at 724 Dumaine. Take part in an annual authentic Halloween ritual. Maybe they'll let you take a few whacks with the Zombie Whip! Have fun. For more information call 1-800-672-6124, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
