The latest proposal for an American sex museum has emerged, this time from Manhattan. "MoSex" is the brainchild of NYC businessman Daniel Gluck and self-styled artist Alison Maddex, best known for her endless representations of the male phallus.
The museum, described as "a sacred place to study" by Maddex and as "high brow" by Gluck, will open this fall on the corner of 5th Ave. and 27th St. — once mundane concerns such as zoning approval, fundraising, and just what will be in the museum beside phallus art are gotten out of the way.
Annie Sprinkle, who made a career out of interacting her private parts with assorted household items and sandwich spreads, has been approached by the museum as a possible sponsor. [04/19/1998]
