Carhenge Highway Relocated

The highway's being moved away from Alliance, NE's Carhenge. US 385 is being relocated; when completed and reopened in late Fall 1999, Carhenge will be 3.5 miles off US 385, on highway NE 87. This isn't so bad, since the only reason you'd be in western NE is to see Carhenge. Friends of Carhenge are reportedly fundraising to put up new highway signs. [06/19/1999]

Directions:: On the east side of Hwy 87, three miles north of town. Midway between Logan and Madison Rds.
Admission:: Free.
Hours:: Gift shop M-F 10 am - 5 pm. (Call to verify)
