Mustang Ranch attraction will promote horses, not whores

Tourism News

RETIRED 2009-11-09 Notorious legal brothel, the Mustang Ranch, may reopen as a tourist attraction and research center for wild horses. The Ranch was forfeited to the Feds a few months ago in connection with a fraud and racketeering trial against the establishment's parent company. According to an AP report, "The Bureau of Land Management is exploring a plan to convert the main pink stucco ranch building into an interpretive center for its Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Center." The Ranch would include historical exhibits about horses, but probably nothing about its heritage as a the Nevada's most famous whorehouse. [10/17/1999]
