Grave haven for Jimi Hendrix fans

Tourism News

The Grave of Jimi Hendrix, Renton, WA, promises to be a better tourist attraction than it already is. The Hendrix family plans to move his remains to a new mausoleum elsewhere in Greenwood Memorial Park on Sept 18, 2000. The new digs will feature a life-size bronze statue, purple fountain, and domed area "mainly to keep the fans dry so they can tell stories and play guitar," stepsister Janie Hendrix told People magazine.
