Nibbles Woodaway, World's Largest Termite, on tour

Tourism News

The 2-ton blue termite on the roof of New England Pest Control, Providence, RI, is taking a brief tour this summer. "Nibbles Woodaway" will appear in Bristol's July 4th Parade, then continue on to gigs in Warwick, RI, Seekonk, MA, and Providence's Roger Williams Park Zoo.

New England Pest Control will take the opportunity to repair and refurbish Nibbles, who has been the company's mascot and arguably Rhode Island's most visible icon for 22 years. The hollow steel frame and fiberglass bug should be back on the roof in August. [07/03/2003]
