One town east from Dedham, Massachusetts' Museum of Bad Art, over in Milton, a serious outbreak of miracle apparition sightings is causing mayhem. For over a month, crowds have been packing the parking lot of a non-profit hospital where the image of the Virgin Mary, holding a baby and an unidentifiable object, has appeared on a 3rd story window.
Hospital authorities, reacting to problems with crowd control, parking and hospital access for the physically sick, have covered the image with a cloth, except for three hours each evening, from 5:30-8:30. Crowds still gathered on the off-hours, anticipating the cloth might blow to one side momentarily. Hundreds are touching the wall and praying at the site each day.
Now reports are coming in that the face of Jesus, and sometimes Mary, are visible near the top of a chimney on the same building. And cloth-watchers say they've seen a Christian cross appear on the Mary covering.
Roadside America has dispatched a religious attraction expert to investigate first-hand. Report to come... [Thanks to Ken Balcom for the eyewitness pix] [07/19/2003]
