Army museum to feature statue made from melted Saddam statues

An Iraqi artist has melted down two giant bronze statues of Saddam Hussein, captured in Iraq by the the 4th Infantry Division, to make a memorial to their fallen comrades. When finished, the memorial will stand outside the 4th Infantry Division Museum at Fort Hood, Texas.

Dedication is scheduled for August 2004. 4th Infantry Division, Bdg. 418, 761st Tank Battalion Ave. and 27th St., Fort Hood, Texas. M-F 9 am -4 pm. Sat. 10 am - 4 pm. Sun. Noon - 4 pm. 254-287-8811

At the main entrance to Fort Carson. Turn right just before the entry gate, and just past the display tank and helicopter. No need to enter the base.
