- Gibsonton, Florida - Boot Monument For Civic Circus Giant
Unfortunately, lots of garbage, possibly attributed to the homeless, are at the base of this cool monument. Perhaps someone who reads this knows someone responsible that could get it cleaned up. Otherwise, cool monument.
[Jeff Pfeiffer, 08/28/2022]Boot Monument For Civic Circus Giant:- Address:
- 9815 US-41 S, Gibsonton, FL
- Directions:
- On the southbound (west) side of US-41 about a quarter-mile south of the bridge over the Alafia River. I-75 exit 250, drive west on Gibsonton Drive for 2.5 miles, then turn right onto US-41 and drive north for one-half-mile.
This monument does not have parking; be careful when pulling in the bike lane from the bridge. Fun history lesson.
[EC, 12/15/2019]Once you come over the bridge across the river you'll see a black wrought iron fence around some property on the right. The boot is hard to see because the bushes completely surround it, with a small house behind. If you drive slowly in the bicycle lane you can pull up right in front of it and take pictures.
