looking after the museum was startled when I came in. The building is small but
holds a fair collection of Tom Mix's costumes and assorted belongings -- almost
everything you could hope for except his guns. The entire gun collection had been
stolen about two weeks before I came in Dec 2002, so instead they had pictures of
Tom Mix's guns on the wall.
The suitcases of death, both of which were metal, were there in a glass case looking appropriately menacing. If you or your parents or grandparents are Tom Mix fans, it's worth a stop. [Michelle, 01/26/2003]

Durant, Oklahoma - World's Largest Peanut While visiting Ft. Washita, Oklahoma, we saw signs proclaiming the "World's Largest Peanut." I thought it would be a real peanut, an agricultural freak. Instead, we found a cast aluminum peanut perched atop a stone monument. We still laugh about this ridiculous monument. Here is a picture of me (I'm the guy in the Amish hat) and a family friend, Alex. [Jim Fritz, 03/02/2009][RA: Here's a much larger peanut -- though still not a home-grown goober.]World's Largest Peanut:
