- Albertville, Alabama - Muffler Man - Bunyan There is a Paul Bunyan, with his hands in the classic muffler-man
position, on the south side of US 431 in Albertville. He's not holding
an axe, but looks more like a Bunyan than a Muffler Man, at least from
the road.
Albertville is the big metropolis of Sand Mountain, which is famous for factory outlets, UFOs, bizarre murders, and stolen-car chop shops, a strange world in itself. [Julie Bell, 01/08/2000]

Stapleton, Alabama - Paul Bunyan woodsman I was down at my in-laws and came across this woodsman. He was erected sometime between January 1 and August 1, 1999, since he was not there Christmas time. He's located on Alabama Highway 59/U.S. Route 31. To me, he looks kind of Canadian, which would make him totally out of place in southern Alabama. However, there is a huge logging industry in the area, so maybe he's not so out of place after all? [Melanie Emmons, 08/28/1999][RA: Bears a resemblance to Bemidji, MN's Paul Bunyan statue!]
Flagstaff, Arizona - Paul Bunyan Muffler Man - 1967 This is more of an interesting historical update. My mom recently passed away, and while going through some old family photo albums I found this photo from July 23, 1967, showing a "Paul Bunyan" MM on Flagstaff's main street (Hwy 66) in the parking lot of the Lumberjack Cafe. I have no idea if this is, in fact, the same MM that now lives on the campus of Northern Arizona University, but I think it stands to reason that it is since there are no other MM's in Flagstaff today. [Roy Holt, 03/24/2009][RA: If you look down the sidewalk, on the far side of the Lumberjack Cafe, you'll see the top half of another Bunyan Muffler Man! Seems logical to assume both these giants cut a swath to the stadium where Flagstaff's two Bunyans stand today.]Lumberjack Muffler Men:

Phoenix, Arizona - Paul Bunyan and More Statues Stopped there on a hot July day. The place is amazing! Lots to see from the street, can't see the back without crossing private property, so I didn't. [greatoz99, 09/12/2009]Paul Bunyan and More Statues:
