Legendary showman, circus and freak promoter P. T. Barnum is buried in the same cemetery as one of his superstars -- Tom Thumb. Tom, whose real name was Charles Sherwood Stratton, was only three feet, eight inches tall when he died of a stroke in 1883. His grave marker at Mountain Grove Cemetery is a tall obelisk topped by a life-size version of the little man.
