Spurred by the news of a Doggie Diner disaster, we tried to find as many extant Doggie Diner heads as we could. Best of the remaining heads can be seen in Emeryville, CA. John Law has collected three of them, and when not in a parade, or at Burning Man, they can be seen by passersby, though some neighbors do complain.
We have also been told that there is a Doggie Diner head at Streetlights Record store in San Jose, one at the Noceto Winery in Amador County, CA, and at an Anderson Valley, CA ranch called Sheep Dung Estates.
In January 2005, a restored Doggie Diner head was added to the median strip of Sloat Boulevard near Ocean Beach in San Francisco.
