Two Turkey statues, one at either end of Rt. 11 in Rockingham County, signal that you are in the "Turkey Capital." Rockingham tops VA in poultry production. The turkey statues, erected in 1955, are no match for their giant Midwest brethren, in Frazee and Luverne, Minnesota.
