Tilden loses a point or two for appearing to copy the billboard style of eastward 45th parallel town Cadott, with its cartoonish globe and red lettering against white. Who knows -- the local Lions club provided this one, and perhaps the towns share the same sign artist. Tilden, unlike shifty Cadott, placed their sign along the actual survey line that marks the midway point between the Equator and the North Pole. The net effect of Tilden's honesty was that we snapped a photo while moving, skipped the town itself and headed on to stop in Cadott!
