Razorback Hog.

Home-Built Razorback Hog

Field review by the editors.

Berryville, Arkansas

The official Arkansas state animal is the white tailed deer, but you'd never know it from flipping through postcard racks in this state. The featured animal is instead a thin, long-legged, wild hog known as the Razorback, celebrated as the mascot of the University of Arkansas athletic teams and as a World War II submarine in Little Rock.

This particular Razorback is hand-made, and stands on someone's lawn outside of a honey store on US 62. It's made of metal, chubby with stunted legs, but fierce looking in a cartoonish way. It appears to be designed for mobility, perhaps to be pulled in parades or used to chase down rival mascots.
