In Holbrook, two petrified wood dealers stand less than four blocks apart, and each has built dinosaurs on their property to catch the eye of passersby. The two statues at the Petrified Rock Garden appear to be a an attempt to play catch-up to the larger, hand-built dino herd display down the street. The Godzilla-influenced Allosaurus, and what looks to be a cartoon dragon, also don't correspond to anything in paleontology. But they are closer to the interstate, and convenient to photograph, along with the ones on the other end of town -- even if you're not shopping for petrified wood.
