Museum of Things Found by Metal Detectors (Gone)
Sweet Home, Oregon
A room of booty unearthed is on exhibit, thanks to White's Metal Detectors, whose factory and offices are next door. The White family designed radiation-detecting Geiger counters in the 1950s, but ever since they've specialized in metal detectors, and evidently are good at what they do. The museum displays some of their more interesting discoveries -- coins, bullets, cannonballs, etc. -- as well as vintage detector machines used by treasure hunters of yore.
