UFO Crashed Here Sign - Gone

Field review by the editors.

Northwest Chaves, New Mexico

The Roswell UFO crash actually happened here -- many miles north of town. You can't visit the site without a private tour, but you can take a picture of the relatively large "UFO Crash Site - No Trespassing" sign. The exact spot is about eight miles west, where dead alien bodies and a wrecked saucer were supposedly found in July 1947. Roswell has three other supposed saucer crash sites as well, but they're too far away and too visually unrewarding to bother with. Stick with the sign.
