Diagonally across from the Mojave Air and Spaceport entrance, with its display of retired jetliners and fighters, is Desert Truck Service, which specializes in truck and motor home repair. Along the road stands their mascot, the Desert Truck Service Man.

Desert Truck Service Man is a marvel of welded junk and spare parts, a large wheel rim supporting spring-tightened legs and torso made of pistons and shock absorbers. He's ready to ride a Mojave rocket to any planet with heavy gravity and a need for truck maintenance! His six-armed repair array can hammer, twist, pry, ratchet and torque your sorry metal mess into something that will at least get you out of Antelope Valley.
