Rock-Shaped Building

Field review by the editors.

Orderville, Utah

The Rock Shop is easy to spot along the highway in Orderville -- it's the only building attempting -- and failing -- to masquerade as a natural rock. For a time the big fake pink and white boulder served as a business where customers could buy rocks and minerals. In its latest incarnation as "The Rock Stop," the owners have added seasonal outdoor seating and serve ice cream and coffee. Inside are local crafts and tourist stuff to buy.

A baby dinosaur statue stands in a pen outdoors.
