Football Player Gerald Ford Made of Junk
Grand Rapids, Michigan
Michigan scrap metal dealer and artist Stuart Padnos built a larger-than-life Gerald Ford out of junk, a robotized version of the future President as he appeared in the 1930s, when he was the star center of the University of Michigan football team.
The sculpture was placed on the grounds of the Ford Presidential Museum in 2003, on Ford's 90th birthday. Ford was there for its dedication.
