Grave of JFK's Assassin's Assassin: Jack Ruby
Norridge, Illinois
Less than 48 hours after Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly assassinated President Kennedy, he was himself assassinated by Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner with ties to the Mafia. Ruby shot Oswald in Dallas police headquarters on Nov. 24, 1963, and there was never any doubt that he pulled the trigger -- he did it in front of a live television audience estimated in the millions. His murder conviction sent him to death row, but he succumbed a little over three years later to lung cancer, in the same hospital where JFK and Oswald ended up.
Ruby is buried next to his parents; his name before he legally changed it was Jacob Leon Rubenstein.
