JFK Toilet Bowl Memorial
Torrance, California
This not-very-well-thought-through memorial was donated, according to its inscription, by Mrs. Celia Pons less than a year after President Kennedy was assassinated. It features a large, tombstone-shaped slab with an engraved portrait of JFK's head, topped by a cement "eternal flame" sticking out of the tombstone's top. In front of the slab stretches a fountain with a wide, white rim and blue-painted interior.
The whole thing resembles the tank, seat, and bowl of a large toilet.
