Longest Aerial Tramway in the U.S.
Albuquerque, New Mexico
Built in 1966, the Sandia Peak Tramway is the longest aerial tramway in the U.S. It was designed by Swiss cable car engineers who saw it as the ultimate challenge. The terrain is so impassible that only two towers support the entire length of the tram, and the upper one had to be assembled by helicopter. It's not an attraction for the dizzy.
