Giant Fishing Pole and Trout

Field review by the editors.

Dubois, Wyoming

Dubois is a little remote, not really close enough to Jackson or Yellowstone to just stumble past. And yet it draws in Roadsiders with its various attractions, including this giant fishing pole.

The monster fishing pole in town stands straight, perhaps 40 ft. tall. A giant trout dangles from the line. It's a promotion for a local tackle business.

At 7,000 feet above sea level, the Wind River is a high altitude fly fishing paradise, known for its trophy size trout. The Dubois fish hatchery, five miles east of town, welcomes visitors.
