Night of the Living Dead Cemetery

Field review by the editors.

Evans City, Pennsylvania

It's easy to see why director George Romero chose this cemetery to film the opening sequence for Night of The Living Dead; it's hidden from view of the road. He and his zombies were unlikely to be bothered by inquisitive passers-by or unhappy cops. It's still just as remote and isolated as it was when Romero filmed it in 1967. There are no commemorative markers, although fans of the film will recognize certain tombstones.

"They're coming to get you, Barbara!"
