Tour World's Largest Farm Equipment Factory

Field review by the editors.

East Moline, Illinois

Rolls of steel go in one end, $500,000 combine harvesters come out the other. The building covers 90 acres and has 14 miles of automated track. Tours take an hour and a half; no video cameras or cell phones; no open-toe shoes; no pre-teens. It's a really big factory, making really big farm machinery, for really big farms. Ohhs and ahhs are perfectly appropriate.
