Tombs of the Ugas
Uga, a bulldog, has been the sports mascot at the University of Georgia since the mid-1950s ("Uga" is a corruption of "University of GA"). The complete line of now-multiple dead Ugas are entombed in a wall mausoleum near Gate 9 of Sanford Stadium. There's a life-size bronze statue of a generic Uga, and each dead dog gets a bronze memorial plaque with an epitaph (Poor Ugas I and II have had to be re-entombed twice to accommodate stadium expansions). The current, living Uga lounges in an air-conditioned doghouse near the cheerleaders' platform, but eventually he, too, will end his college career here.
