Muffler Man at the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair

World's Fair fan Bill Cotter sent us a vintage image of a Paul Bunyan Muffler Man spotted at the New York World's Fair in 1964-65. Paul stood brandishing his ax outside the Oregon Pavilion. Bill snapped the slide (and thousands of others) at the Fair when he was 12 years old.

The owners of the Muffler Man at Ortley Beach, NJ, believe their big guy might have started his life at the World's Fair, forty years ago....
