Hatfield-McCoy Feud Cemetery
Pikeville, Kentucky
To distinguish it from the Hatfield cemetery in Sarah Ann, West Virginia, and the McCoy Cemetery in Hardy, Kentucky, the Dils Cemetery in Pikefield has been unofficially relabeled the "Hatfield-McCoy Feud Cemetery" because it touts the graves of both Hatfields and McCoys.
Its most famous interment is Randolph McCoy, "Famed Leader Hatfield-McCoy Fued," [sic] as engraved on his tombstone. Also here is Roseanna, Randolph's daughter, who died of a broken heart after her forbidden Hatfield lover abandoned her and her love-baby (who is buried elsewhere).
Randolph moved to Pikeville after the Hatfields burned down his house in Hardy, killed two of his children, and nearly killed his wife. He outlived the feud but still died unpleasantly, falling into a fireplace and burning to death when he was 88.
